Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge and opinions of midwifery students about mother-friendly hospital practice.
Methods: The research is carried out as descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of midwifery students of a state university (n=355). The data were collected with the Descriptive Characteristics Data Collection Form, the Opinion Form on the Mother-Friendly Hospital Practice, and the Mother-Friendly Hospital Practice Criteria Information Form.
Results: The general score average of the students' knowing the criteria of mother-friendly hospital was determined as 5.25 ± 4.80 (min: 0, max: 10). It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference between some descriptive features of the students and their views on mother-friendly hospital practices and their knowledge score averages.
Conclusion: It was determined that the students' knowledge about mother-friendly hospital practices was at a moderate level. Almost all of the students stated that the mother-friendly hospital application was beneficial.
